Wheelfest 2009
By any measure Wheelfest 2009 was an outstanding success. We had a little rain early on, but Saturday and Sunday beautiful days for Wayne-style fun.
On Sunday, Wheelfest goers stopped by to see the Chevelle Club Car Show, sponsored by Glass Unlimited beginning and also enjoyed some flapjacks at the Pancake Breakfast, which was sponsored by Wayne Memorial High School cheerleaders. There was lots of fun for young and old at the Pet Contest, sponsored by Goody's Pet Store. And, funds were raised at the BBQ to help Alissa Jennings. The entertainment was sponsored by Papa Ramanos and Mr. Pita of Wayne all day long.
Saturday began with the Don Nicholson Charity Car Show and later came the Great Wheelfest Parade, sponsored by St. Mary CYO. Young and old enjoyed the Petting Farm. And, the Rotary Club offered up some great chili at their internationally regarded Chili Cookoff, which was sponsored by Jack Demmer Ford. Entertainment was sponsored by EQ.

Friday, Jim Harper and crew of Magic 105.1 WMGC were broadcast live from Wheelfest yesterday morning and the Wayne Memorial High School Marching Band performed... it was fun! We thought you'd like to 
see.
The accompanying Pancake Breakfast benefited Community Living Services of Wayne and Wheelfest 2009.
Thursday's entertainment was sponsored by Harlow Tire and the festivities began with a spaghetti Dinner sponsored by Wayne Westland Junior Miss. Channel 4's Devin Scillian and Karen Newman with the Arizona Sun Band closed the evening.
