Hours of Operation
Monday-Friday: 5:30am - 8:00pm
Saturday: 8:00am - 6:00pm
Sunday: 12:00pm - 6:00pm
NOTE: Beginning Tuesday, September 7th until Friday, June 17th. the pool only will be closed from 11:30 AM - 3:15 PM. Water Fitness Classes on Monday and Wednesday will move from 3:15 to 3:30. Lockers, indoor track, and fitness area will remain available throughout normal operating hours (5:30 AM - 8:00 PM). Doors leading to the pool will be secured (locked) from 11:30 AM - 3:15 PM. Lap swimming is available during all hours of operation. Lined bathing suits are required for all participants. Basketball shorts or cotton shorts are not allowed over bathing suits.
Group Aquatic/Land Fitness Class Information
Aerobics I This is a low intensity class that uses water resistance to enhance cardio respiratory fitness. Muscles conditioning and abdominal work included. Length: 45 minutes.
Aerobics II This is moderate-to-high intensity class that uses water resistance to enhance cardio respiratory fitness. Muscle conditioning and abdominal work included. Length: 50 minutes.
Arthritis This class is designed to regain or maintain range of motion and functional skills, improve aerobic capacity and develop muscular strength and /or alter body composition. Length: 45 minutes.

Cardio Core Enjoy both cardiovascular and core training in this double-punch class. Core movements will concentrate on abdominal, upper and lower back, and the neck region. A great way to ease the tension in the back! Length:45 minutes.

Circuit Training This class combines both cardio respiratory and specific strength or motor skills in a single workout through alternating segments. Length: 45 minutes.
Deep H2O Aerobics II This class is similar to Aerobics II but done in the deep water for greater range of motion, reduced orthopedic stress and higher intensity. Length: 60 minutes.
Deep H2O Running Enjoy the freedom of movement withincreasedflexibility through full range of motion movements. This class is taught in the deep end wearing a flotation belt around the waist. This is a well-balanced cardiovascular and strength training class where opposing sets of muscles are worked. Bring some water! Length: 45 minutes.
Deep H2O Walking No reason to pound the pavement. Use the natural resistance of the water to ease your joints! Length: 45 minutes.
H2O Aerobic Express Get in and get out in 30 minutes H2O aerobic express class! This class will give you the intensity of an outdoor job or power walk with less stress to the muscles and joints. Length: 30 minutes.
How long are Aquatic Fitness Class Punch Cards accepted and when can I attend?
Punch cards are good for one year from date of purchase. This entitles the class participant to gain access to the Aquatic Area 30 minutes before and after their scheduled class time. You are able to attend as much or as little as you want. Visits (s) will be deducted from the punch card total for each class attended. Punch cards must be carried at all times to enter the class. Lost or stolen punch cards cannot be replaced or refunded. Participants of deep water classes must show the ability to swim without water safety equipment. All classes are a drop-in basis. You can find the group Aquatic and Land Fitness class schedule at the Information Desk or call 734-721-7400. New schedules come out the last Monday of each month.
Open Swimming
M-F (through September 3) - 1:00pm-2:30pm
Sat / Sun 12noon - 2:30pm and 3:30 - 6pm
Monday “Monday Madness” All residents are $2.00 (beginning June 2, 2010).
Wednesday “Wet n’ Wild Wednesdays” includes flotation night and St. Michael's and St. Marys of Wayne students along with Wayne Westland Students get in for $2.00 for open swim. Must show current student ID.
NOTE
Lined bathing suits are required for all participants. No basketball shorts or cotton shorts allowed over bathing suits. Parents/Adults have to swim with children 6 and under.Â
Open Swim Fees:
Resident Adult: $3.25 Child/Senior: $3.00 |
Non-Resident Adult: $6.00 Child/Senior: $5.00 |
Children are considered 15 and under. Seniors are 55+. Children under the age of 10 must be accompanied by someone 16 or older. Parents/Adult have to swim with children 6 and under. Children 3 and under are free with a paying adult. Adults who wish to sit on the pool deck must pay open swimming rate. No shoes on deck.
WAYNE DOLPHINS
The Wayne Dolphins offer three sessions: Fall session begins September 14, 2009 and does not include meets; the Winter session begins in January and ends April 1st; and the Summer session begins in May and ends August 1st.
Wayne Dolphins practice at Wayne Memorial High School and begin the fall session on September 14, 2009. For more information, please check out http://waynerecdolphins.org/

We now have a portable Aquatic Lift and Aqua Wheelchair available for people with medical conditions/disabilities to use to enter and exit the water.
SPECIAL EVENTS
Floatation Night
Every Wednesday from 6:00pm - 8:00pm, come and swim with our pool toys! You can also bring your own pool toys to play with (no arm floats or small intertubes please). Regular open swim prices apply.
PARENT TOT
Parent-Tot Swim is the perfect time for parents to swim and enjoy the pool with their children, ages 6 and under, in a relaxing atmosphere.
