Patrol Division / K-9
The patrol division of the Wayne Police Department is the most visible division of the department. The patrol division consists of three shifts: days, afternoons and midnights.
The shifts are staffed by a Lieutenant, Sergeants, Patrol Officers, and Dispatchers. Each of the patrol officers are assigned to a specific area of the city during their shift. The duties of a
patrol officer include patrolling their assigned area, responding to calls for service, traffic enforcement, investigating crimes and preparing police reports.
The patrol division works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To speak with a police officer or to report a crime, contact the police department’s main number at 734-721-1414.
