Patrol Division

The patrol division of the Wayne Police Department is the most visible division of the department. The patrol division operates on 12 hour shifts. 

 

The shifts are staffed by a Lieutenant, Sergeants, Patrol Officers, and Police Service Aides. Each of the patrol officers are assigned to a specific area of the city during their shift. The duties of a patrol officer include patrolling their assigned area, responding to calls for service, traffic enforcement, investigating crimes and preparing police reports.

 

The patrol division works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. To speak with a police officer or to report a crime, contact the police department’s main number at 734-721-1414.

2020 Summer Taxes are DUE and payable without interest July 1st through October 1st 2020. 

 

On Friday, October 2, 2020 interest will begin to accrue at 0.50% per month. 

 

The last day to pay 2020 taxes at the City will be Monday, March 1, 2021.

 

On Tuesday, March 2, 2021 the 2020 delinquent taxes will be payable to the County.

The City of Wayne has partnered with Simple Recycling to offer a convenient way to recycle Clothing and Housewares for Free at your curb on your regular recycling day.

Use the provided green “Simple Recycling” bags to recycle unwanted clothing and housewares in re-usable condition.

Place bags beside regular trash and recycling container on your normal pickup day.
