Beautiful Homes and Businesses
Each year the City of Wayne Beautification Committee honors Wayne homes and businesses which reflect a special pride of ownership in property upkeep, landscaping, and overall general appearance.Â
The recognition can be for the summertime upkeep of homes and yards or for holiday decorations such as Halloween, Christmas or Easter.
Nominated homes and businesses are evaluated in the areas of property maintenance, landscape design and overall appearance. Homes and businesses honored by the Wayne Beautification Committee show a real commitment to neighborhood beautification, with attention to detail and that special something extra.
In evaluating nominated homes, photos are taken of the street-facing portion of each house and garden. Professional landscape and design architects review the photos and determine if the nominated home will be recognized. Awards are given in two categories, Distinguished Recognition and Honorable Mention.
