The City of Wayne is seeking qualified applicants for the following PART TIME positions:

Engineering Technician

Starting Pay Rate: $25.05/Hr

Responsibilities Include:

Surveys and inspects public works projects such as storm drainage systems, sanitary sewers, water mains, road and sidewalk construction, and utility installations. Prepares design plans and detailed specifications for recommended improvements. Provides technical support to the City Engineer.

Qualifications:

Experience relating to municipal type survey, inspection, or design in public improvement projects or technical training in site plan interpretation, surveying, designing and drafting is required. A four year degree in engineering or surveying and one year experience using CAD systems is preferred. A valid State of Michigan drivers license with no more than three (3) points on current driving record.

Water Safety Instructor (Group Swim Lessons)

Starting Pay Rate: $9.00 - $11.75/Hr

Responsibilities Include:

Plan and conduct productive, safe and enjoyable swim lesson classes in an environment for all ages and skill levels. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Current American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor, National Safety Council Learn to Swim Instructor or YMCA Swim Lesson Instructor certification. Must have at least one year of group swim lesson instruction experience. Current CPR/AED and Standard First Aid certificates.

Qualifications:

Starting Pay Rate: $15.74 - $20.57/Hr.

Responsibilities Include:

Planning and conducting a productive, safe and enjoyable aquatic fitness class for all age groups and skill levels. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Current IDEA, ACE, AEA and/or Arthritis Foundation certifications. Current CPR/AED.

PERSONAL TRAINER - CONTRACTUAL
Responsibilities Include:
Coordinate and perform fitness assessments, generate individual exercise prescriptions, respond to emergency situations as needed. Instruction on land and/or water for youth, middle-age and older adults. Knowledge of sports specific programs for ages 6 and up, and the ability to translate information effectively to the lay public. Current CPR/AED certification is mandatory.Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
A recognized certification in the field of exercise science, fitness and health promotion (ACSM, NSCA, ACE, etc.). Standard first and CPR/AED certification is mandatory within 30 days of hiring.

MASSAGE THERAPIST - CONTRACTUAL
Responsibilities Include:
Applying scientific discipline of manual therapy that provides assessment, education, consultation and treatment of and with an individual through applying manual therapy techniques, for the purpose of relieving stresses to the human body. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Has successfully completed a school or program that requires at least 500 hours, providing the school offering the program is in good standing with any state, regional, or national agency or governmental regulatory body charged with regulating massage therapy schools or programs. Has taken and passed the National Certification Exam for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (NCETMB) or the National Certification Exam of the Medical Massage Association, or other equivalent national or state massage therapy examination. A prescribed licensor application and paid the required application fees. CPR/AED certification is mandatory or must be obtained within 30 days of hiring.



**WAYNE POLICE DEPARTMENT VOLUNTEER POSITION**

RESERVE POLICE OFFICER - Reserve Police Officer is a voluntary, non-paid position. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED, be at least 21 years of age, have no more than three (3) points on their driving record and no criminal record.
